Field Store House is an agriculturally-focused hospitality project on the North Shore of Lake Superior in the Clover Valley farming region.

We are reimagining what it means to connect with the land through food and hospitality; creating a place where sustainability, community, and simplicity come together in a way that’s deeply rooted in place.

why we do this work

…because we believe we - ourselves, our communities, our land, our animals, our ecosystem - are in need of a model of food and hosting that considers itself a steward of the land and a conduit for restoring the broken connection with have with ourselves, each other, the animals, and the land

….because we believe that hospitality has the unique ability to be a connector of people to each other and to the most important issues that we are facing regarding land and food

…because we believe that being a part of regenerative cycles, rather than linear waste cycles, and finding ways to practice regeneration daily and in a way that’s practical and achievable is necessary to the evolution of the hospitality and agricultural industries

….because we believe that while a globalized and industrialized food system has been important to the development of cultural and culinary repertoire, it has also created the biggest problems regarding land and food stewardship. we seek in the work to prioritize micro-regional cuisine development that honors and is accountable to our immigrant and indigenous grandparents recipes, classical cuisine cooking, and the foods that this micro-climate produces with the most efficiency and beauty.

….because Service is our highest organizational value and we seek every day to ask, ‘how do we serve in the most potent way?’
